L.W. Woodworks started with a simple conviction: that Chicago families deserve cabinets and woodwork built to last, not replaced every decade. What began as one-person work in a garage has grown into a trusted Chicago workshop — but the approach hasn't changed.

We work primarily in solid hardwoods — maple, cherry, white oak, and walnut — because they take a hand plane the way paper takes ink: cleanly, honestly, and beautifully. Every project, whether a full kitchen or a single restored dresser, gets the same attention to joinery, fit, and finish.

Based in West Town at 1165 N Milwaukee Ave, we serve homeowners, designers, and contractors across the Chicago metro. No job is too big or too small — if it's made of wood and needs to be right, we'll talk it through with you.
